How Do You Pray?

How to Pray? Good question –  easy answer.  There is no wrong way to pray.  You pray from your heart.  You can pray in silence.  You can pray out loud.  You can knell on your knees.  You can cross your legs while sitting on the floor.  You can just sit in a chair.  You can bow your head and clasp your hands.  You can look above and clasp your hands.  You can close your eyes or leave your eyes open.  A prayer is a message from your true self, your soul, your spirit, to the higher power that is above all of us.  You know you are deep within a prayer when you can feel it deep within yourself.  Maybe you cry . . . maybe you just feel peace . . maybe you just keep talking until there is nothing more to say.  A prayer is something that is ALWAYS good.  You are submitting yourself to something so powerful . .  something so wonderful that loves you for YOU . .  that is with you no matter who you are, what you’ve done or what you have.  Allow yourself to listen to the answers to your prayers.  Through prayer I have found peace.  I have found happiness.  I have found answers.  I have found LOVE.  I KNOW prayers are heard . . .they are powerful, magical, wonderful and  they are most definitely Answered.

Do You Need Help Today?

I think we all need help each day.  The real question is have you asked for help?  All too often we feel we must do it ALL ourselves and we TRY and we TRY so very hard to do what we think is right only to work ourselves to exhaustion and disappointment.  Each day I ask for help and I get it.  I bow my head and ask my prayer to be heard.  I ask to be graced with compassion, love and focus.  I ask to be relieved of the burden of fear.  Sometimes I feel anxiety usually due to a negative thought that is running through my mind.  At that very moment, I take a deep breath and ask for help.  I KNOW my request is granted because I feel better-  maybe just a little bit at first.  You know you have been answered when hours pass and when the fear returns and you see it for what it is “fear”  it’s not real . . it’s just a thought . .  so this time (with the help that you asked for) that “fear” then just vanishes through your awareness that “it’s not real.”   Then more hours pass and within those hours you begin to see the wondrous universe before you, the blue skies, the breeze, a bird, a kind person  (all blessings before us).   You have now forgotten what you asked for.  . . . .   This is how i KNOW my prayers have been answered.  I can’t begin to list all the answered prayers that happen to me daily-  but as they do I hope to continue to share . . .   those amazing gifts that one receives just by asking . . . .
